Hello all,
Kate Chalmers along with another author, just published an article about the use of hydrogel dressings and lanolin in the JHL. I was very fortunate to work with Kate when I first began working as an LC, and I believe that, no matter how this research is funded, that she would be truthful and ethical in her reporting of findings. She is an excellent clinician and teacher of breastfeeding.
Considering the topic of research done about breastfeeding and lactation topics or equipment, isn't it better for the research to be done by LCs who are knowledgeable in the use of these products, rather than by people who are not educated, or by those who are not held up to the ethical standards that LCs are? Food for thought.....
