On a trip last fall , I visited with a man and yes we talked about
breastfeeding. He told me that his mother would carry him in a backpack and he
would breastfeed as she was working in the fields. He went on to say that
because the breasts were sooooo saggy sometimes when he was not in the backpack
his mother would throw the breasts over her shoulders like a scarf to keep
them out of the way as she worked. Yes I believed him because I had seen the
picture in Dia michels book showing this very thing. He did not tell me how
they went about making the breast long enough to hang back over the shoulders.
By the way his mother, and wife were with him on the trip and his mother looked
pretty good. His mother did not speak english so I didn't talk with her
directly...
