I have checked some resources, namely those from the National Institute
of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases and they do not specify
any bacterium or virus connection to Crohn's. They do, however, say
that it is *theorized* that a bacterial or viral infection may trigger
an immuno response that leads to Crohn's, *but* none have been proven.
To check the cutting edge of Crohn's research, I would contact thr
Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America 1-800-932-2423.
