Many mothers successfully breastfeed their multiples.

Here is a start for information on breastfeeding twins:

La Leche League. La Leche League is a mother-to-mother breastfeeding support group.

La Leche League International’s home page on the World Wide Web is: http://www.lalecheleague.org

For information specifically about breastfeeding multiples:

http://www.lalecheleague.org/nb/nbmultiples.html

A very helpful book to read on caring for multiples is Mothering Multiples: Breastfeeding and Caring for Twins or More!!! by Karen Kerkhoff Gromada. Revised edition, 2007.

Read it before the babies arrive!

Nursing Two Babies Together:

5 minute video of one mother explaining how she nurses her 4 month old twins together (Most moms find it easiest to start out nursing newborn multiples separately while they learn to latch, but some moms can nurse the babies together from the start. The babies in this video are 4 months old, not newborns, but it gives moms an idea of how one mother found her way to nurse two when she is by herself).
