Dear fellow lactnetters,
I am very very happy to report that we finally have milk! My ever patient
new mommy finally had sprays of milk this past week with nursing and
pumping! Baby continues to gain, poopy, pee, etc. Mom has not used any
further supplementation and is extremely excited although still not completely
confident with her body's capabilities. It was day 6 1/2, 3 visits and 101
frantic phones calls before we finally saw more than a drop or two of
anything. I am still not sure what exactly caused
her delay but am convinced that her emotional state (and nerves) had
something to do with it. I am continuing to give her support and
encouragement. She sent me one of the nicest cards that I think I have ever
received. Man it feels good to know that you truly made a difference in
someone's life! Thank you all for your input. It is so great to have
someone to bounce ideas off.
                      So much happier in Ohio
