Don't you just love it!  There's so much research that shows it does have a
detrimental effect that you can hardly jump over it, and one paper that
shows it doesn't - but that's all they needed!  It's like the 'smoking
doesn't cause lung cancer' research.  I suppose we can be as guilty as the
next person (no, no I'm sure we're not!) when they just keep looking until
they find what they want to believe.
OK maybe good communication and counseling techniques will get the desired
result with a win-win, but aren't you just so tempted to tell them how
lame-brained they are!!
