If mom's body will begin to lactate, I can't see what the problem would be.
The hyperal is supposed to be giving her the needed nutrition.

We all know that many docs are sadly undereducated on breastfeeding. Given
that this doc doesn't support breastfeeding in a well mom, how can you hope to
think he would be at all supportive in this special situation?

It would seem to me that ANY breastmilk this mom produces (regardless of
amount) is better for baby than none at all.

Specialists tend to look just at their specialty not taking into account the
entire family unit and its needs. This case would seem to be a good example of
that.

Keep us posted on how this mom does with production and how this baby does in
general.
