Sarah,
I found Dia Michels' book "If My Mom Were a Platypus: Animal Babies
and Their Mothers" filled with info about how animals feed and raise their
young. It's written in a very accessible way for grownups and kids. When
I read it to my 5 year old as a read aloud recently, he wanted to read it
a second time, only from back to front.
