A dentist visited my daughter's school today to teach the kids about good
oral hygiene and sent them home with literature by Crest toothpaste. One
pamphlet has a section which states that "baby bottle mouth" is caused by
the pooling in a child's mouth of sugary liquid such as juice, milk and
formula, BUT NOT BREASTMILK [emphasis mine]. Hooray! I'm going to send
Crest a big e-thank you for keeping up-to-date on the literature and putting
out messages, even if only subtle ones, that are supportive of
breastfeeding.
