I think this is commonest where mothers and babies are physically separated
and mom may not necessarily have any way to store her milk or transport it
effectively, or has no supply from yesterday to use until she gets home today.

Not to mention moms pumping&dumping (for real or bogus reasons) b/c of drugs
etc.

So, while I'd usually think one could find a way to solve this dilemma if one
were motivated, it does not seem so weird as to be unbelievable.
