Nikki, I would be quite concerned about this mother, who is telling you one
thing, her doctor another thing, and possibly doing something else
altogether in terms of feeding her baby. This is the way mothers who
ultimately neglect or abuse their children often behave, and I find it
worrying. I would be sure you let the doctor know that this is happening, so
that he can monitor this mother and baby.
