I'm amazed at the wide variety of experiences we have all had with
JCAHO.  It really looks like what gets checked up on depends on who
you get and what mood they're in that day!  We worked hard to get
all our ducks in line for the recent visit, especially when we
learned that one of the evaluators was an OB.  The only comment was
"Do you suggest cabbage leaves for engorgement?"  The LC on that day
stated that it was one of the suggestions we would offer a mom.  She
wasn't sure if there would be a challenge regarding evidence for
their use, but all the JACHO person said was, "I had heard someone
say they work and just wanted to find out-how interesting."  Nothing
was said about the discussion in the report.  I had been hoping they
would see and comment on some of the formula company promotions I've
been complaining about, but not a word-drat!.
