Well, fellow Lactnetters:

I took a hiatus from Lactnet after having lots of things stressing my life
to the point of rupture.

For those of you who don't remember me, and those who do, I am Renee. I
live in Northern California. I am a registered nurse who hopes to one day sit
for the IBCLC exam. I was active in LLL. I no longer am applying for
leadership. I am still a member, and continue to love LLL.

My life has calmed a bit, and I have the best news to share. I just was
offered my dream job. I will be working as an Early Headstart Health and
Nutrition Resource Specialist. I will be responsible for prenatal through 5 yr old
age children, and their families. I will be responsible for lactation
education and success in our county, among other things. I am so very excited to
have been offered this position.

Now I have a professional reason for being here in Lactnet. You all have
been such a source of support, information and love to me. I thank you for
helping me help friends to succeed at breastfeeding. I very much look forward
to looking to you all for advice and information as I embark on this new and
exciting journey.

It feels good to be able to serve my county in this way. :)

I look forward to hearing your updates and to catch up on the things going
on with you.

Boy, it feels good to be back :)

Renee RN,CLC

Mom to 4 kids, 3 successfully breastfed and the youngest one, Cate, is STILL
breastfeeding at 2 years 8 months. :)

"No other success can compensate for failure in the home"
-- David O. McKay

"When your Heavenly Father looks down from heaven, he doesn't see your
successes and failures. What he sees is the beautiful heart of
a mother who has laid down her life for her children. And He is pleased with
what he sees."

-- Rev. Jim Brashear
