I've been here since pretty close to the beginning and whenever I have used
that phrase (wise ones) on this list I am using it to address the people all
the people this list who are wise about breastfeeding because they know about
breastfeeding. I never thought of it as a question of hierarchy. Face it
where can a lactation support person go to pick the brains of 2000+
colleagues. I know for a fact that when I have run into a tough case someone
has seen something like it before. This list is a huge help to a lot of us.
I don't think anyone was looking for "old sages" with that salutation.
