I heard (may have been a rumor) that c sec rates are so high in FL that ins co are requiring a trial of labor!

Found an article by James Clark Maloney, MD today, unfortunately no date :-( but it is mimeographed, if that is a clue :-)
"The Obstetrical Establishment and the Deadly Chain Reaction"
"The modern obstetrical establishment has but one function, and that is to turn out babies as quickly and efficiently as possible. Here again, the obstetrical establishment, the god-child of our so called civilization, exerts pressure against the primary unit, exerts pressure against the mother and her newborn baby. The mother and baby are forced into a mold dictated by the obstetrical establishment." He goes on to talk about efficiency. Made me think of giving Pitocin if labor isn't progressing at the proper speed and so on.
