Hello wise ones,

I have been contacted by a pregnant mother to be, who is definitely facing some challenges in regards to breastfeeding. She is at high risk for low supply. She has a history of breast surgery 5 years ago, augmentation on one side, reduction on the other, both have anchor incision lines. This surgery was performed to correct significant difference in size. She was not able to give me a definitive answer, but from talking to her, I have the impression that the smaller breast was unusually shaped and likely had at least some hypoplasia.

She is heading into her 3rd trimester, and wanted to know if Goat's Rue can be taken during pregnancy. I have looked at my resources and can only find mention of lack of studies about use during pregnancy. Do any of you have much experience with this herb and it's use during pregnancy? I have heard that it is sometimes used during pregnancy, but I cannot find anything concrete to share with this mother.

Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
