While showing the self-attachment breastfeeding video to an expectant mom today, her 4 year old son asked, "Why do all the mommies go home first and leave the babies in the hospital?"  "What do you mean?" we asked, knowing that this mom intends to be in the hospital but 24 hours, co-sleeping and nursing blissfully.  What kind of separation was he thinking or worrying about?  Where did he get that idea?  "You know" he said  "when the mommies go home and the doctors deliver the babies to the house like all those pictures at the doctor's office!"  
What a great belly laugh!
