Both the breech and vertex positions are normal for cats and dogs (probably
for guinea pigs, gerbils, mice, rats, and rabbits but this I don't have any
actual knowledge).

You were lucky the second one didn't come until the first one latched (see
I did get I breastfeeding reference in).  Quite often in multips, they come
in a rush without much time between so no nursing until she's done.
