Hi all,
Well I am now only 5 days behind. If I could choose one book to give a mother
it would be Pregnancy Childbirth and the New Born by Simkin, Whalley, & Keppler.
It is complete and a good price. Our hospital bought it for our classes. By
getting a large number, they got it for $5/book. At full price it is $12.
Another book on how the baby developes is A Child is Born, and we all have our
favorite breastfeeding book. I wouldn't dare get into that one. I give each
couple a loaner of PC&NB when I am going to be their doula. They really like it
and there is always a picture of what I need to explain when the question comes
up. It is easy to say on the phone "turn to page ___ an look at the picture."
That is all the sage advice for today,
