Hi all,

Well I am now only 5 days behind.  If I could choose one book to give a mother
it would be Pregnancy Childbirth and the New Born by Simkin, Whalley, & Keppler.
It is complete and a good price.  Our hospital bought it for our classes.  By
getting a large number, they got it for $5/book.  At full price it is $12.
Another book on how the baby developes is A Child is Born,  and we all have our
favorite breastfeeding book.  I wouldn't dare get into that one.  I give each
couple a loaner of PC&NB when I am going to be their doula.  They really like it
and there is always a picture of what I need to explain when the question comes
up.  It is easy to say on the phone "turn to page ___ an look at the picture."

That is all the sage advice for today,
