The researcher found cotinine, the breakdown product of nicotine in the
baby's. But this is no prove that the nicotine is in the baby's too. The
nicotine could have been broke down in the mother's body, so that it was
only the cotinine that was passed to the baby. Seems to me that further
resarch is needed.
