Hi folks, I have a mom with a five month old baby who will be leaving the
US and moving to Beirut next month. Mom has had long term issues with
supply and breast refusal due to early supplementation/mismanagement, but
has perservered mightily, and breastfeeds, breastmilk feeds, and
supplements when needed. Mom has been pumping with a rented Medela Lactina
but is concerned about finding an appropriate pump in Lebanon. She was
unsure if she purchased a double pump here (PNS or PurelyYours), if the
pump suction would be effected by the different current so would rather
purchase one there. Medela pumps are available in Israel but mom doesn't
think it's feasible to obtain it from Israel or UAE. Does anyone have a
contact or further information on obtaining a quality pump in Beirut?
Online, I found a list of hospitals (maternity), two midwives, and a list
of pediatricians, but I'd prefer a more solid recommendation of who/where
she can turn.
Thanks!
