I have permission to post. I have a mom who is totally BF, separated when baby was about 1 month of age. Now whenever dad gets baby she gives him bottles of breastmilk, but every time baby comes back her clothes have been changed and they report baby spits up breastmilk. She also tried giving a bottle of breastmilk, and baby spit up. I sug using different nipples, and maybe pausing the feeding after every 1/2 ounce. Any ideas?
The other problem is that baby is with dad and his mom for 4 hours for 4 times a week---Tue and Thu 4-7, and Sat 12-4, then Sun 8am to 12. Whenever baby comes home she is very unsettled, and crying. Now the mom is returning to work so baby is going to a sitters also. At 3 mo old, mom feels this is too many changes for the baby and it is upsetting to the baby. Is there any evidenced based info I can give her to petition the judge for more consistency of care? Ideally, it seems since the mom is working part time, the dad/grandma could provide the daycare, and save the baby from so much disruption.
Waiting for gems of wisdom from our Lactnet family...
