As someone pointed out to me (OOPS!!!), when I vented about moms who were
going to try to breastfeed I talked about "trying" to teach them something
in class. I stand corrected. :)><==. I do teach them in class about they
way it used to be in the good old days when the majority of moms breastfed.
Not all did, of course, I've read, as some women had wet nurses and I have
seen pictures of come contraptions that women used before the days of
bottles and artificial baby milk. And today, there are cultures that
breastfeed because they don't live near W***mart or a WIC office to get
formula. anyway, thanks to monica for pointing out my slip. We need to
remember to watch our language we we teach others because we don't always
realize the impact they have on those we teach. Thanks again to all the
netters for your words of wisdom, Carrie Wilkinson RN IBCLC
