Maybe this is a long shot but a thought that crossed my mind was:
"what about an earache because of the change in altitude". I can imagine
that the pressure hurts the baby's ears and that this might also have been
a contributing factor. With all the other suggestions givenn it might have
been 'the drop that overfilled the bucket'.....Just a thought though....
