Eszter posted about a 17-wk-old baby with blood & mucus in her stools.  Mom
has eliminated allergens from her diet but problem continues.

If I read correctly, this mother is seeing the blood and mucus continue
after dropping a lot of potential allergens from her diet for a few days.
However, it is possible for this kind of problem to take some time to
resolve even with a limited diet like this (The Breastfeeding Answer Book
says 10 days to 2 weeks, but I have heard it can take as long as 3 weeks).
I think the baby would be likely to continue to have symptoms during this
time.

With my son, we did continue to see allergic symptoms (eczema and
bloody/mucusy stools) for about 2 weeks after I eliminated cow's milk from
my diet.  I continued to breastfeed during that time - I'm assuming that
would be the best way to go in most cases but I have no references to back
that up.  Maybe someone else here can help with that?
