I wanted to add to the discussion of the WW pump that we tried it for the
mom with the broken back - who had to lie flat on her back most of the day.
I wrote about her a month or so ago, but don't think I ever wrote a
follow-up. The company was very gracious to send us a pump to try. This mom
could not get much at all while lying flat on her back. She felt that the
Classic was much stronger and she would use it during the times whe was
allowed up. She ended up in a full body cast, but is allowed up every few
hours. Baby is still nursing.
We also let a nurse who works at our hospital try it and she liked it,
although she felt it wasn't as strong, she liked the idea of being able to
walk around. The tips given about use of the pump might have helped.

I would like to ask the same questions about the new Medela Symphony pump.
Has anyone used it, what was the experience, etc. ??
Peg Merrill, IBCLC
