Just to add another twist to the depo provera line. I've always been told
(when I worked in an OB/GYN office) that it is not advised to give Norplant
or depo immediately postpartum because the most common side effect is irreg.
bleeding.  If a mom is hemorrhaging postpartum, how can they tell if it is
because of a birth complication or from the contraceptive?
