Duh, formula usually has a basic (high) pH.  So formula is going to
fix the problem?  Give me a break.  And is the diaper rash so bad that
we must feed the baby formula with its possible risks without any
reason to believe it would make a difference.

Who said that breastmilk needs to be of pH exactly 7.0 (I thought it
was 7.2).  But could not a range be normal?  Are we sure the test is
reliable?  How was it done?

Diaper rash in an exclusively breastfed baby is sometimes due to the
baby not getting enough hindmilk.  So keep the baby on the first
breast longer, use compression to keep him nursing longer and getting
more of the hind milk.  You know, the usual.
