I recently went into the Women's Cancer Network website to take an online test
determining my risk for breast cancer. I was so amazed to find that one of the
questions asked  was "did you breastfeed at least one of your children?"  It
specifically lists breastfeeding as a "Factor that lowers your risk of
cancer".
