I heard this on the radio last week. In a nearby county, not enought people
came to jury duty, so the judge sent police officers out to Walmart to bring
people back for jury duty. The police cars were all in front of the store,
and if the person was old enough and a resident of the county, they had a
half hour to get to the courthouse.
The woman interviewed on the radio said that women were asking how they were
going to get their children from school and the policemen were telling them
to call a neighbor, no excuses. The elderly lady who was interviewed said
she was allowed to go home because of her poor health and not having her
medication with her. She said there were a lot of upset people at the
courthouse. No doubt. I didn't hear if there were any mothers looking at
the Lansinoh breastfeeding collection who were grabbed along with their
nursing babies!
