Colleagues,
I have a client with a four month old baby with an eczematous rash over much of his body, but is particularly bad on his extremities. He developed a little bit of this shortly after he was born. It started first on the top of his head and has now spread to the rest of his body.

His mother states she is lactose intolerant. She is, however, able to tolerate yogurt and cheese, which she does eat. She is also taking nettles and acidophilus to help her digestion. She has been bathing the baby with a homemade soap made of olive oil and avocados. She has also been adding vinegar to the rinse water when she washes the baby's clothes. She is willing to discontinue the use of all but the nettles and acidophilus. However, she has been using all of these since the baby's birth and wonders what could possibly trigger the increase in the rash now.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

TIA!
