I wouldn’t tell a mom of an infant to limit breastfeeding. Personal
experience: my daughter was a butterball nursing baby. She is now a very
thin adult! She lost the baby fat in her toddler years. Genetics also
should be considered. In addition, supplemental foods need to be something
other than pizza crust and French fries! These two foods are commonly fed
to infants and toddlers. The focus should be breastmilk, lean meats, fruits
and vegetables. I don’t buy the GERD diagnosis. All babies have GERD. Some
babies are more sensitive to it than others. We used to call this “colic!”
I know moms swear by their Zantac but that could change in the future when
more studies are done!
