Had a mom come in 2 weeks ago with a baby gaining abnormally lots.  Spitting 
too and other NP wanted to do upper GI to evaluate for GER (which I 
cancelled).  I simply told mom she must stop the 2 additional 8 oz. bottles 
of formula she was giving and solo pecho!  This week more reasonable weight 
gain and nothing but mom!  Little spitting :-)  Hooray.  Pat in SNJ

PS: mom said nurses in hospital said to give breast plus bottles - ack - a 
familiar theme.  I can't decide if it is something  lost in translation, or 
it's what mom wants to hear or needs to hear or nurses really say it :-(
