Where is mom living who will be having the twin with the cleft?  Maybe she
can get to know her local LC  or LLLL before delivery.  Actually she is
"lucky" that she is having twins because the 2nd twin will do wonders for
bringing in a good milk supply, especially if she has to also pump for cleft
twin.  I really think she needs to line up family, friends and maybe church
connections  for tons of help to get her through the sheer physical enormity
of having twins, grieving, pumping for one etc. etc.  Please tell her she
just needs to learn to say thank you for all offers of help, instead of
being super woman and trying to do it all on her own.
This is extraordinary circumstances and she needs extraordinary support.
