Dear Lactnetters

There is a french study on beer and prolactin :
Etude de l'action lactogène de la bière. LM Houdebine, L Sawadago, H
Sepehri. Entretiens de Bichat, 26 Sept 1990.
Beer increase the prolactin level. This effect is caused by the
beta-glucanes in beer (coming from barley and malt). Beta-glucanes given
alone per os increase prolactin levels in monogastric animals (women in
particular).
