The good news about these new WHO weight charts is, in my experience anyway,
if you print one out and bring it to the pediatrician for use on your
(breastfed) child, he/she is glad to replace the pharmaceutical-provided
chart in your child's medical file.

My experience has been that pediatricians are more concerned with growth
progress, not necessarily babies matching certain percentiles.

I encourage all of the mothers I work with who are having trouble with their
doctors to bring the WHO growth chart, as it is more applicable to their
breastfed baby -- and no doctor can argue with that!

Of course, more often than not, these exclusively breastfed infants are
ENORMOUS at 4 months!  I've seen at least 2 nearly double their birth weight
by 2 months old -- just on mamma-milk.  I've since learned that is normal
for a breastfed baby, who "leans up" later, when he starts moving around.
