Nancy, We usually s-t-r-e-t-c-h the milk too.  My understanding of mixed
feeding is that the benefits of breast milk are "dose-related," so that using the
milk along with formula to supplement feeds is what we do until supply is
increased.  Our dietitian does recommend that milk be given at one feed and
formula given separately at another feed--probably due to those nutritional issues.
