Actually the only organization that can implement an increase in prereqs to
sit the IBLCE exam is IBLCE!  ILCA may be a professional association, but
it is not responsible for administering the exam or determining what
experience or educational level is required.  It can (through its members)
offer suggestions, recommendations and the like, but that is all.

If you want the prereqs and experiential background increased, you must
share your concerns/preferences with IBLCE.  I strongly recommend you do
just that.  Asan individual.

Remember, one individual is considered to represent about 25 others who
didn't have the time, make the time, or bother to express their opinions.

When an organaization makes a recommendation, it may be from ONLY the
executive and thus may not carry nearly the weight of a similar number of
individuals independently writing.  Don't get me wrong. Association backing
is helpful, but does not mean nearly as much as individuals in the field
sharing what they have observed re: what I call the 1-, 3-, and 5-day
wonders that I have also seen....
