The belief that women become related to children through nursing, and
children to each other by nursing from the same woman, is not limited to
Islamic countries, but is found in many non-Islamic populations as well.
There is a wonderful article about New Guinea (non-Islamic population) by
Dorothy and David Counts (anthropologists) titled "Father's Water Equals
Mother's Milk."
