Are we talking about just soy formula here or also tofu and other soy food
products? And, at what age do you think they begin to become appropriate?

While we are on the subject I wanted to mention an unfortunate slip of the
tongue by the pediatrician at my daughter's last visit (20 mos. ) My
daughter is very petite and has really not gained much in the past three
months so the Dr. asked whether she drinks cows milk and I said no, just
breastmilk or water. She continued to press me on dairy intake in general
and said that we should stop all dairy products (cheese, yogurt, etc)
because they are filling her up and making her gassy and not want to eat.
So, I am not sure I agree with that, but I am not a dairy fan anyway, so I
said fine.

Then, the Dr. said only give her soy. Now remember, my daughter is 20
months old and has never had anything to drink besides water or breastmilk.
The Dr. said only give Prosobee. I know she meant soy products and not soy
formula, but that just showed me how brainwashed she had become by the
formula makers. For her Prosobee stood for all soy products. I was truly
in shock.

Thanks,
