The astute Dr. Jack and Jill Lund pointed out to me that DHA is
not in formula in the US. I know the breastmilk has it, but I was
writing in response to Amer.Baby mag which stated moms need to take
extra supplements of it and "bottle-fed newborns get the from infant
formulas" and later "the body can synthesize DHA from linoleic acid, a
fat found in canola oil, walnuts, and wheat germ, as well as infant
formula." The article was written by a dietician. I guessed that this
was as a result of a new formula that had added the DHA. If anyone
knows more, please enlighten.
