What I would generally recommend would be 15 to 20 minutes double pumping in
the first days, and then 2 minutes past the last drops (up to 30 minutes)
once milk is in.
It is important to discuss with moms how they might fit this into their day,
giving different scenarios, such as it is better to pump for 10 min if you
don't have much time, rather than to skip a pumping and do 45 min the next
time.  I also feel it is important to discuss and demonstrate how breast
massage and hand expression perhaps halfway through and at the end of
pumping will increase milk yield.
