Mom has taken belladonna? Sounds like she gets results that do not hold, so either she needs a higher potency of the remedy or she needs a different remedy. I often use hepar suplh when remedies are not holding, but would be inclined to try the higher potency belladonna first. She can try the hepar suplh now though to see if it prevents recurrence. Or, if she has never used phytolacca, I would even go with that in a low potency several times per day. It is very specific to glandular tissue. If I were working with her I would also be looking very closely at her diet to eliminate pro-inflmmatory foods and I would use cell salts daily for at least a few weeks.

I had mastitis 6 times in 6 weeks with my daughter. I used belladonna every time and it resolved quickly, but came back. I finally used higher potency. In hindsight, I am sure her posterior TT was the underlying cause.

I find this comment odd:

"Like you say: this case doesn't seem to be caused by germs, because the mom
also heals without taking antibiotics."

Abx are not the only way of treating bacteria. The body often fights off bacterial infections on its own and this is what homeopathy
helps it to do. OTOH, you could also look at immune support for this mom, but that really needs to be in the context of the whole
picture.

I would also look into bodywork and acupuncture.
