Pamela my thoughts are that the commercial formula would be the most
appropriate. Milk should be the baby's major source of nutrition for a
while to come yet, even with the introduction of weaning foods. The
commercial formula will provide the vitamins and minerals necessary and the
protein will be in a more easily digestible form.
As the weaning foods increase in volume and nutritional value to the infant
he could be swapped over to full strength cows milk, with drinks of water
as well.

Has this got anything to do with the HIV studies - exclusive breastfeeding,
then complete cessation? I can see few other reasons for them to want to know.

Denise
