Wise Ones

Can anyone help? A premature baby is formula-fed for several days
before the mother's milk is plentiful enough to fulfil his full
nutritional needs. Once he is fully breastfed (or breastmilk-fed),
how long would it take for his gut to heal from the potential damage
caused by the formula? Opinions will be welcome. Journal
references would be very much appreciated too, if you have them.

Many thanks.
