Like several brave souls before me, I am coming out in the open as I
need help with references.
First: I am a new IBCLC, and find lactnet a wonderful resource. Thank you
all! I teach maternal/infant nursing to 2nd year RN students. Though my
contact time with them is limited, I am doing my best to give
breastfeeding the priority it deserves.(Out with the baby bathing video,
in with Delivery Self Attachment as the norm to which we all must strive.)

My question: during a talk on postpartum and contraception I referred to
information I know I read in preparation for my exam....the impact on
population rates and thus cost to societies with breastfeeding being
replaced by formula. Can anyone help me with references that I'm sure
exist (related of course to LAM). Either e-mail me or post to
lactnet.

Many thanks.
