Dear lactnetters, one of our NICU nurses just delivered a plump juicy baby boy!! Nursing going well, but mom has allergies that cause severe headaches. She is already on allergy injections - do any of you know if the injections would be contraindicated for breastfeeding? Also, she takes Sudafed Decongestant. Is there a med or an herb that would help with the allergy-type headaches but not interfere with breastfeeding? I was concerned that taking a decongestant or antihistimine during nursing may decrease milk supply. Appreciate all replies - you may email me privately or share your answers with fellow lactnetters. Thank you.
