Jessica,
Even if your sister does not have biological children, she may still be in a position to wish to breastfeed. I would think that goat's rue would be safe, but I know of no one else who has tried this, so my thought would be, why not? It might be a good idea, though, as some women have allergic reactions, to take it for a few days some weeks before the surgery as a test--who wants to feel any worse after surgery? What I would suggest, though, is using zinc for wound healing and prevention of scar tissue. I would also suggest she do visualizations, seeing the ducts reconnecting and healing with perfect function. Nothing is more powerful that what we think and thus believe.

Subject: Goat's Rue after breast reduction surgery?

My sister is having a breast reduction next week. She knows the risks
involved re future breastfeeding, but is not sure that she will ever have
biological children and has been wanting the surgery for nearly a decade.

We where wondering if there might be some benefit to using Goat's Rue
immediately following the surgery to hopefully enhance the healing and
re-growth of ducts, etc. I have only been able to find information about
using Goat's Rue following pregnancy for BFAR situations.

Thank you for any thoughts/ resources.
