If you can get hold of the September 1990 Journal of Human Lactation, it is
solely about tongue-tie. (Thanks Kathy A!) There are lots of good articles in
that issue. You may also want to search for yourself on Medline at
http://www.nlm.nih.gov . Using PubMed, enter the search words tongue-tie or
ankyloglossia. You will get slightly differing results. I had to do this very
search myself not a month ago for a LC helping with a severely tongue-tied
baby. The pedi refused to clip the frenulum; the parents did not want to go
against the doctor. The references helped bolster their courage to seek an ENT
to clip the baby's frenulum.
