Macrobid is approved by the AAP - listed as such in Tom Hale 2002, pg 525.
The only cuation is for infants under 4 wks of age with hyperbilirubinemia
due to displacement of bilirubin from albumin binding sites (whatever that
means...) or infants with G6PD (whatever that is).  The estimated
theoretical dose of this drug received by an infant in a mom taking 100mg is
0.2 mg/kg/day or 6% of the weight-adjusted maternal dose.  The therapeutic
dose administered to infants is 5-7mg/kg/day.
